iphone/ipod touch application developing

i know loads and loads of people have iPhone or a ipod touch i myself have a ipod touch (iPhone was just too expensive for me ) and most of you out there love your applications have any of you actually considered making one?

well for some time i have been wanting to do that but did not know how to code at all so i started to look for some tutorials and i dived right in, took me a long while to get it all down but eventually i made a few applications. i would like to share with you the tutorials i found since it might help you in creating applications and who knows maybe one day il see your application on the app store and buy it. Firstly if you have a mac you can go the apple way and make applications very easily but if you own a windows machine you will have to go the unapple way and jailbreak your iPhone/ipod touch and use cydia to distribute your applications well and to make them since apple has not release a way to make applications for the iPhone/ipod touch on windows.

for people who have no clue how to code or who only know a bit of programing here is some good tutorials to get you started hello world tutorial (a program which you make when you start learning programming) beginners guide to iPhone development (this is the one i started out with) and appls a muck ( they give you 30 apps to make and how its made and full explanation of everything really good site) and here is one for the windows people development to windows/Linux programming

now for the distribution the apple way is pretty straight forward so wont say how since a easy look at the apple iPhone dev site it will tell you though the apple way will set you back $100 since you have to buy a developer's licence to be able to test your apps on your iPhone/ipod touch and to put them on the apple store. VoipStunt

ever wanted to make free call's? well with VoipStunt you can. It lets you call loads of places for free. I have been using it quite a bit since i use the phone allot and don't want to waste lots of money on phone calls.The interface is quite easy to use though i don't like their colour scheme but over all a nice app. If you want to get it yourself head over to http://www.voipstunt.com. Q Emulator

Q Emulator is a application that allows you to run Linux,xp or windows vista on your mac. It is similar to Vmware but it's free. Works on most mac's but dose not run well on amd mac's but on Intel mac's runs really well. Vuze

You might have heard of the program Azureus before but you might not know that it has changed its name to Vuze and changed it’s interface a bit. Been using it on my macbook for a few days now and I have to tell you its pretty nice both visually and how it runs. Been using it to download my anime and yes I am addicted to Bleach and Naruto. Some few things that no other bit torrent application has is it’s HD network feature that allows you to view movie trailer’s / short films/ documentary’s/ movie’s. It also converts videos or audio that you download with other applications if it detects that’s it is installed so you wont have to go to the application that dose the converting. I highly recommend this to anyone who download’s torrents also a small note this application is for Windows and Mac user’s not sure about Linux if you want to have a look at it head over to www.vuze.com. Adium

Adium is an all in one IM application. It works with Mac only so far (sorry windows and linux users). I tried other IM apps on the Mac like MSN and aMsn but for msn it did not cut it. It was either that it was glitchy and crashed allot or couldn’t use some features. I found Adium through a Google search and I have been using it ever since. I must say it’s an outstanding application for what it dose. It can connect to your MSN, ICQ, AIM, Jabber, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, Mobile Me, Myspace IM and more. I have been using this app for about a few weeks now and I must say its pretty nice being able to connect to every IM account you might have. It’s easy to talk to anyone on any IM so no more people asking where you have been. The interface is excellent I like it allot though I do miss being able to send custom emoticons on msn but over all I like it if you wish to get it yourself head over to http://www.adiumx.com/. Mac Anti-Virus?

You may think mac dose not need a anti-virus but you never know when a malware threat might come about. I used to windows set out to find a anti-virus for mac and found quickly that there is a free anti-virus available already for mac called ClamXav. ClamXav uses the tried, tested and very popular ClamAV open source antivirus engine as a back end. Even if you are looking for a mac anti-virus then this is it. What is the best anti-virus?

don't you wonder what is the best anti-virus out there? well to answer that its hard mainly its just your opinion on which is the best. I think that kaspersky is the best anti-virus out there since its very easy to use, its not hard on the system and it is usually one of the first anti-virus to detect a new threat . Although one bad thing about it is the price its pretty pricey compared to other one's on the market. The best FREE anti-virus is avast well again that is just my opinion but it has a very clean and good interface and updates hourly also you can scan before windows starts up which some anti-virus's out there don't do. Like Formula 1?

do you like formula 1? well if you do i have found something that some of you may like its a online formula 1 MMO game thats free. Desktoptopia

hey everyone just had a chance to try out Desktopopia and it is excellent it grabs desktop backgrounds from a range of categories and changes your desktop background every 20min but you can also set your own time . The backgrounds are very nice colour full and very high quality if you don't like have a constant desktop background the application is for you. My First Mac

last month i finaly got a mac for myself after years of being able to look at one but not being able to keep it :P. iv gotta say though mac's are brilliant better than a windows machine in my opinion since iv had windows for a long long while (since 1995) and it's always kept crashing have having problems and even my gaming pc that had a problem after a month o.O . Well thankfully my mac has not had any problems at all so far =] allthough one thing windows dose have over mac is that its more user friendly which i actualy miss. anywho if you got a mac and feel the same way feel free to add me in google talk or email me at bachisawsum@gmail.com
